Another Thought(s)

Thoughts and dreams I have had at one time or another. These are small pieces of me.

Untitled

depression is born in happiness' pain.
she holds him dear, trying to remember.
Love.
(but this child will kill its mother)
he knows only himself and by his nature,
by instinct, he takes everything as his.
Own.
(for this child will kill its mother)
his bittersweet smile draws her in,
warms her heart before he burns it.
Black.
(and this child will kill its mother)
she dies alone, though in his arms,
not knowing that she is dying.
Forever.
(so this child is killing its mother)

First Nature

Air without motion, water without sound,
paper before the pen.
Pure as pure as the breath of God,
beginnings without sin.

Colors of green, shades of earth,
before the first man wrought.
Pure as only pure can be,
in the absence of any thought.

(This reflection, a lie in fact,
for essence cannot be caught)

Color

In this square solitude,
my thoughts waver and

                      wander

through fields and sunshine smell
        of missing experiences I've not
        yet had.
She laughs, pulling me to fly
over grass. Her smiling eyes reflecting
my happiness before

I wake(lost for a moment)

to rub the book from my cheek,
back to the gray of reality.

Perhaps it is ironic that I now post poems on the Internet; a place where no one really reads too carefully (or too deeply.)
